Need instructions to install FSTB

i am looking for instructions on how to install a fstb, i picked up the custom maxima one and planned on putting it on this weekend, checked the how to's and the link is dead.. anyone ?

pretty self explanatory. Open your hood. Find the strut tops which are by your hood shocks. Unscrew the three nuts on each side. Place the purty strut bar on and torque your nuts back down.

And in addition to what Orgullo said, make sure you don't over torque the upper strut mount nuts, you should tighten them to somewhere between 39-54 N-m.

If you need a pic, here's my old set-up; on the right hand side of the pic you can see the black FSTB bracket and the three strut mount nuts:



Come to think of it, you may also have to fiddle around with the length of the bar a little to line the brackets up right, but that's just a little trial and error. I actually usually just disconnect the bar from the brackets, tighten down the brackets, then reattach the bar after.

alright, ill tackle it today.. actually now that i look today in the how to's the link still does not work but he has a write up there instead, is the custom maxima fstb a decent one ?" thanks

CM FSTB sits pretty low. My IM actually rubs the FSTB in reverse and that is with a set of washers already installed to provide some space. I don't even have IM spacers

try to get your car on a flat surface, ie not a slanted driveway.
