Thanks. I was test driving a car this weekend. 2000 SE. 5sp Grey Lustre. That is one fly ride. The fuse under the hood was blown.

I also have a 3rd Gen and I must say that damn 5th Gen will move like hell. It is almost like driving a car w/ turbo.

I would wait to see what the 2k2 model pricing is like. By then, the 2k1 models will be really cheap also....

Careful though, my brother is a salesman and has friends at the nissan dealerships in town and they all say that nissan underbuilt the maxima and they're starting to run out of 2k1s....they really want the 2k2 to hit the floor so they have some product to sell. Finding a new one might be kinda hard if you wait too long. I bought mine a few weeks ago and the nearest one that matched what I wanted was 300 miles away.

I bought a 2002 Explorer about 2 months ago because I could not find a 5th Gen that I wanted. I am going to sell the Explorer to my parents for what I paid for it. I plan on doing this around January or so. That way, maybe the 02 has dropped a tad in price, but if not, I can live with a 00 or 01.

They are sweet but I know that I will miss some things about my 3rd Gen.
