Power window gone wild...

Power window gone wild...

My 2002 SE 6MT HLSD, an otherwise great car, has developed an irritating quirk in the front passenger power window: in warm weather, especially, the automatic up feature results in the window rolling all the way up, but then it opens again about 1/4th of the way. Holding the button keeps the window all the way up, but upon releasing the button the window goes opens about 25% again. The only way to keep it closed (except when the window mysteriously sometimes still works right) is to hold the control button while the window moves to the closed position, then turn off the ignition switch and restart the car. Anybody else run into something like this, and figure a fix for it?

It is so nice to see the results of advice offered. So often people get advice and then they never repost about whether it helped or not. Good job

I know this thread is almost a year old...but I searched and can't find a thread about this specific problem. Can anyone give me a non-broken link to a thread that explains how to fix this issue? Thanks.
