Megan will fit 00-04 I30/5 and 00-03 Maxima's.

As for rattling, tighten up those hangers by using hose clamps that can be found at home depot but keep in mind, the catback must be installed and pushed towards the car by car jacks for proper alignment, and not just bolting all pieces together...

Thanks for the info 00maxSE, do you know anything about the length of the muffler exhaust pipes in respect to the bumper. Heard it might be a little short on the i35

Thx Again

From looking around, it looks like they went back in stock in April.

Anyone with any fitment issues with the 20th AE? My factory muffler needs to be replaced. Instead of paying Midas $250 for a OE muffler replacement i'll rather pay $320 to get the Megan Racing catback. Let me know. Thanks!

I would love to know how the install went. This is the same exhaust I wanted to get. Please repost when the install is done. I would love to know how it went and how well the exhaust performs.

The install wasn't bad. doing it laying on the ground and not being able to jack the rear of car high enough made getting rear section out a pain. A stud on the cat broke off when i tried to take bolt off. I ended up having to take it to shop to have stud torched off of the cat.
The system is a little louder than I thought it would be but the exhaust note is nice and aggressive. car seems to be a little more eager now to pull to red line. Ordered the cat back from meganracingperformance.com

Im going to have to install it laying on the ground as well. My oem catback looks like it has been replaced within the last few years so hopefully i dont break a bolt. I should be able to order mine in the next few weeks. I cant wait.

What exactly do you mean by modifying my rear valance? Cutting? Wouldnt it work if i adjusted the hangers?

I got it installed today on my AE. there is fitment issues. it needed 2-3" of extra pipe welded on to make it long enough to sit flush with the rear lip. looks and sounds awesome now though. also one of the hangers on the car was rubbing the piping, so they cut the hanger a bit. I will post pics later.

Any exhaust after the main cat is legal in new york as long as it exits past the last window that can open on the vehicle.

Good luck with that brand...it's well built but just lacks a large enough rear muffler for my personal taste...It's one of those 14" mufflers! What I found out is the largest muffler that can fit is the best option in straight thru design mufflers...I utilize 11" x 5" x 22" Magnaflow mufflers on my 4th and 3rd Gen exhaust systems and they're pleasantly tamed! So get it and possibly replace the rear muffler with a larger Magnaflow unit 22" long oval 11" x 5" works as well as larger 4" round x 22" resonator...you'll be happy.
