Idle problem question

Hi everyone,

Today, my car stalled while at a stoplight. The gas pedal needs to be pressed to keep it from stalling. My uncle is a mechanic & suggests it is the IACV. We cleaned the throttle body & it helped a bit, but it still idles a little rough in Drive & eventually stalls in Neutral or Park.

Should I go ahead & order a new IACV?
Thanks for any advice.

Search for "bad MAF" or something like that, and decide if that seems to satisfy your notion. It could be a bad IACV, but it could also be a bad MAF as well..... Is your car throwing any codes?

Yeah, it's throwing a P0135 (front O2 sensor heater circuit, bank 1 sensor 1).

Correction: it WAS throwing that code. As of today, it's gone.

It's a s****y problem that Nissan has with the 5th gens. Common for IACV and/or ECM to cook because of the bad IACV. I was lucky, only had to replace the IACV because I parked it right after stalling, idling P0505 code. Otherwise, the more you drive with a bad IACV, the more chances of ECM frying. Lots of info on the forum concerning P0505.
