Engine Replacement...
I recently had my engine replaced by a local mechanic. He bought a fed emission engine without knowing my car was cali...after he finished mounting the engine he realized they were a bit different...exhaust manifold, swirl control valve actuator, and the vaccuum hoses on top of the intake manifold.
He went a pulled the vacuum hoses and the exhaust manifold from the old engine. Now we can't find the swirl control valve actuator...i got these error code after he started the engine...
P1130....due to the swirl control valve i guess
P1320 and P0303...i'm guessing bad coil
P0135...bank 1 oxygen sensor.
what should i do?
take the engine out and return it?
find a cali spec intake manifold?
Plug the swirl control valve hose and ignore it?

I think that you should do NOTHING. I have exchanged several engines for people, and not once have I delivered one to a customer with a CEL, SES or other issues that would keep it from running correctly or passing emissions testing.
Sorry for your mechanic, but he owes you a properly operating vehicle, unless you had some prior arrangement to accept anything less.
