glutch pedal noise
Just curious as to if anyone has experienced this before and how to fix it.
When i depress teh clutch pedal there is a scraping noise, only during the free-play prior to hitting the friction point, and only on the depression stroke, never on rebound. I examined the pedal and linkage, and couldnt determine anything in particular. i have a feeling that the spring just needs lube, but wanted to test the waters. I am wondering if the link shaft requires lube, i am on vacation and dont have my FSM with me. Also, is there a specific way to apply the grease? i am hoping that just slathering some lube on the 3 spring joints will cause it to self feed into the joint.
If anyone knows, please post. If i dont hear back i will let you all know what i find as i test different things one by one.

It should be a non-serviceable part, but if it makes noise, lube it. THats my philosophy at least. Plus if you lube everything you will almost certainly prevent abrasive wear taht will accelerate failure.
