New MAF installed...finally!!!

Last thursday my car took a turn for the worse. It was running very sluggish and wouldn't rev past 2500rpm's. So after doin' some searchin' on here I called up DAVE B. from Austin and he sent me a 2K1 MAF. I had to change out the wire element from the old one. It was not very hard, you just have to handle it very easily. After installing the new MAF the car ran sluggish for about 5 seconds then I hit the gas pedal and away she went. Car is running great and the price...$87. Dave new exactly what I needed and was very eager to help me out.

I'm glad to hear you got it to work. Yea most of these problems are all pointing tot he MAF. I just recently changed my MAF on my 00 maxima, and it worked like a charm and now all I need to do is to get my ecm reprogramed. .

But yes DAVE B is that place to get them from..

Out of curiosity, do 5.5 gens have to reset the ECU via Consult when replacing the MAF like 5.0 gens?

Get an M62 MAF housing from www.car-part.com, go to a dyno, tune it, after you've read my thread about it.
