Whistling noise when accelerating anyone know what it is???

 

Whistling from the engine bay? Intake maybe?

 

I asked a similar question before and I personally have no clue, but a few people from here told me it might be the PCV valve.

 

comes and goes , but i think it gets louder when its humid..??

 

alternator bearing... time for a new alternator...

Its easy take it out take it to autozone or any automotive store that can test alternators and they'll tell you

its prob from the hood - maximas have this issue

 

is your defroster on? mine does it whens it humid like stated, and when the defroster is on. kinda like a ghetto intake. nothing to worry about tho.

Ijust replaced my alternator sat and it was a bit of a chore. You have to take the bottom splash guards and i took out the rad and all that to make some room. 4 hrs for this guy of avg skills

Zomg someone installed a s/c in your maxima and didnt tell you.

 

I have the same noise coming from my car. I know the difference from the berk and this... not the intake. I just replaced the belt that runs the alternator and it started happening. Is the belt on too tight or too loose?

Or should I plan for a new alternator.

 

I just put the stock intake and got rid of the weapon-r that came on the car and whistiling noise started.
