Installing spacers stripped out studs

Trying to replace the studs with the new extended studs in the LIM. It had a wierd 6 way allen head on it, so grabbed it with pliers, both completely stripped. The instructions say use 2 nuts, and tighten them together. I tried this they keep on turning. Are there more details to this as I don't see what to do as no matter what they end up just breaking loose and doing nothing so what do I do.

The "weird 6 way allen head" you are referring to is an external TORX head. There's a tool for everything.

When you say "use two nuts and tighten them together", what is that step supposed to accomplish?

Heat is your freind. About the double nut stud trick (not to be confused with the one I used on your girlfriend earlier) slip a closed end wrench over the stud first then tighten them really really really tight togethor and then use the lower one to turn the stud, but remember, heat is your freind.
