Anybody ever notice if their driver's seat seems to shift just slightly from side to side in turns? Mine moves a bit from side to side and makes a 'clunk' sound.

Is this a common problem or do I need to take it in and gripe??

Ive never had that prob you might want to check if maybe the seat brackets are tightened or just take it to the dealer

i would definitely get that checked out because i'm sure that you would not want you along with your seat flying through the front windshield... or end up in the back seat when you accelerate hard.

...i think someone else around here mentioned that the factory actually forgot a nut or screw for their seat before. try to do a search.

I swear, people act like Nissan Maximas are the only cars with these problems, and it kind of angers me to see MAximas put to shame. Guess what? Accords, Camrys, and whatever car under the sun has problems. Theyre designed by Humans and Manufactured by Machines. What do you expect? Have you ever read about some Auto Publication complaining about the Auto Transmission Slippage? No, you havent. Why? because that is typical in the Comfortable Family Sedan class. Dont agree with me? Give Level Ten a call. They know everything there is too know about Trannies.

Oh, about the seats? At least the Wheels dont come off in the middle of a ride like many other car manufacturers (Daewoo, Ford)

I wasnt critisizing you in any way. I know you, like any other auto owner would want your problem corrected.

I've been quiet long enough. I don't mean anything personal by what I'm about to write, so don't flame me!

I know that the Maxima isn't the only car to have problems- look at the Escort, the Focus, the Legacy, the Accord, even the Camry. BUT - I didn't buy a Camry or a Legacy or an Accord, I bought a Maxima. And you can bet your a** that I'll be p***** anytime something (esp. a safety issue) goes wrong with a car that I have owned for less than two months and cost me well over $25K.

I'll be stepping off my soap box now...
