While having my oil changed this morning, I took the opportunity to peruse the local Nissan lot. It appears that Nissan made a midyear Maxima change and offers a CHROME 16 inch wheel option. The option runs 1200.00 and looks....well it looks factory! My Nissan dealer (Endicott Nissan) had three and all were GLE models.

Speaking with the rep. and they also expect the 1st Altimas to arrive the last week of August based on order confirmations. No SE model Altimas until after Labor Day and they sold the last 2001 Anniversary Edition Maxima two weeks prior. Just a quick update ......

 

That would be the "factory ghetto" option, right?

 

I saw that too at my local dealer. They had a few GLE's with the chrome 16's........ it looks, well....ummm..... ok I guess....

 

I like them. My dealer is selling them for $950 though.

 

the ones I am talking about are a factory installed option. And are 1200.00 on the original manufacturers sticker. No dealer installs and pricing, which would mean the chrome was warrantied through Nissan. They are the factory 16 Inch wheels........ not 17's that many sites chrome afterwards on an exchange basis.

 

Yeah, these are OEM chrome 16's I'm talking about, except they are installed at the dealer. Same wheel, but installed at the dealer, instead of the factory.
