resonator-2003 exhaust

i currently have a 2003 nissan maxima and was told that by removing the resonator that the exausht would sound more like a g35 or fx35. are theese statements true, and does anybody have any video clips showing how it would sound before and after the removal?

Tim, I didn't think there were any clips in there with stock exhaust, no resonator. I looked a while back and didnt find any.

shaunkey1, if you remove the stock resonator, I would suggest you replace it with a Thrush or Cherry Bomb glasspack (cheap) or a Magnaflow, etc. resonator (expensive). Might get you what you are looking for without causing loud raspy output.

I can't comment about no resonator and stock muffler, however I am currently running no resonator and a magnaflow muffler and I am very pleased with how it sounds. I don't think you will ever get the G35/350z sound but I wouldn't shy away from removing the resonator at all.

Yall need to look under a G35 or FX35 cause their exhaust configuration is totally different their resonator is twice as long and the rear muffler has different diameter tubing and has no trick baffle door!
