Anyone ever get Nissan to pay you for your rental car while it's at the dealer getting warranty items repaired such as the transmission? This is for those without the extended warranty.

My dealer will pay the rental fee for all warranty repairs. HOWEVER, they pay for the smallest car - like the GEO Metro or the Dodge Neon and if you want a bigger car, you have to pay the upgrade fee per day. So, it's not the best but paying $6/day for a Jeep Cherokee rental isn't the worst thing in the world.

The dealer has no obligation to supply you with a rental car unless you have the extended warranty. Some dealers will lend you a free loaner if you take your car in for one of their rip off $500 30/60k services.

I've never gotten a loaner from the dealer on a warranty (non extended) repair.
