I was at a Mercedes dealership and I tried using the remote to lock the door... it wouldn't work. So I thought my battery was dead. I tried it again with my wife's remote and same thing... no locking door. Anyway, when I left and went back to the hotel, my remote worked fine. So I was curious and went back to the Mercedes dealership. Yep, it wouldn't work. Can our remotes be "jammed"?

i dunno mine doesnt work sometimes either... to open or close... i dont think the car cars if the doors are open or not.. i lock it always with the door closed and open with the door open... u can press the buttons while the engine is on and u are driving and it will still lock or unlock and flash the hazard lights... in the begining i thought the battery died... but i dunno what it is cause then the next day or a few hours later when i come back it works... its weird if u ask me...

Re: wow !!

Heh... I wish. I was actually at a photo studio for a family reunion and the store shares it's parking lot with a Mercedes Dealership. If I had the $$, I'd probably go for a BMW (a nice M5). :-)

A baby Merc is only 3-4K more than a loaded Max (36000 vs 39000).

It's not to much of a stretch until you realise that there is no: leather, mags, CD, sunroof, +40HP. And when Hans puts his hands under the hood you have to double fist the wallet.
