My car is just way too expensive.. The monthly payments suck and since im putting money into my business now having a liablity this large really sucks... So im gonna trade down and pick up a 93 vr-4 For those who dont know that is mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 (twin turbo) They have one at the dealership near me with only 44k miles for 14k!!! My payment will be WAY less monthly with this car plus my quarter mile times will be WAY lower too I really want somthing way different and this seems perfect. I ran the carfax on the car and its clean and the miles are true.. Im test driving the car tomorrow.. Ill let you all know how it goes and how many times i stall (im an auto driver)
If this car ends up not working i got my eye on a 94 legend for 11k. has 80k miles though...

I'm also a VR-4 man (a Galant VR-4 that is), and wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Nice choice. Those cars are one of my favorites. They look like they're going 100 mph when they're standing still. If I didn't have 2 kids, I would have picked one up myself instead of the Max.

A 93' VR-4... run away, fast! I've owned two of em'. A 91' and a 94'. Looking back, I wished I had bought Nissan Z cars instead. The 3000GT's are mechanically unreliable, and do not hold their value very well. In particular, you will more than likely be buying a new tranny at 70k miles. They are notorious for this! But the dealers won't tell you that.

The car is a great highway cruiser, but a pig in the corners and under hard braking. I just didn't have the best of luck with either of mine. However, if you can get the car cheaper than 14k, you might be ok, for a while. But dig deeper into the tranny issue I told you about. It IS a serious problem with these cars. Otherwise, good luck!

I totally agree, My Gf's dad has 97 VR4, I have seen him replacing 6spd tranny (made in Germany) twice already. And til this day, his tranny is still leaking

He is glad that he got extended warranty (100k), otherwise, I think the tranny costs like 6-7k and have to wait like couple weeks for oversea delivery!!!

I also had a 93 VR-4 back in 98. i purchased it with 60k and when I reached 77k about a year later while waiting for my inspection sticker, my car decides that it doesn't want to idle any more and stalled. After several attempts to start the car the mechanic at the gas station turned the idle up for me so I could get home. That was when I decided to get rid of it. Nice car ( twin turbo/awd) but very hefty 3800 lbs. Well good luck with it if you decide to get it.

I was working at a computer store back when those things were still being produced and we (the company) were pretty good friends with a Dodge dealer in town... ..His comment about the Dodge Stealth (same car as the 3000 I think) was to burry it in the back yard....

just someone else's .02
