When I install my new intake, should I disconnect the battery after it is installed so the ECU can get used to the new intake? Or does it not matter if I leave it connected? Then should I let the engine run at idle for a few minutes to adjust to the intake? Thanks!

yes, but leave the battery disconnected for a few hours or overnight. A few minutes won't do it.
