Got this from a dealership in the area. (Won't mention any names, 'cause this particular place had the rudest salesslime out of all the dealers I went to.)

Hi,
Previously you contacted us at Mid-City Nissan about a new Maxima. I have thirteen demos that must go. No reasonable offer is refused and we will work hard to get you any available factory incentives on these vehicles. This is a great opportunity to get into a Maxima at monthly payments you never thought possible. I have a black Maxima SE with Automatic transmission, SE Comfort and Convenience,
Meridian Edition, Floor mats, and Splash Guards. This vehicle must go and is priced at 23,000.00 plus taxes and licensing. Prices on other units will be dependent on equipment. Please reply quickly, this email went out to about 1200 prospective buyers. I also have brand new GXE Maximas with Comfort and Convenience, Floor mats, and Splash Guards for 21,999.00 plus taxes and licensing. My hours and
number are listed below. Please call ahead of time for appointment and look for me in the new car showroom. Thanks again for the opportunity to earn your business.
Thirteen demos? Sounds like program cars to me. Time to make room for those 2K2's.

And if that's what they're advertising, I wonder how low they'll actually go.

Those prices are high.
In the Atlanta paper i've seen plenty of 2k1 SE's for 21,000 and have bose, leather, C & C package, Auto, Meridian, everything.

Exactly. Watch those to reduce further in price when the 2K2 Maximas and 2K2 Altimas hit the showroom floors.
