I've been having this problem for a while. When I approach a stop, push in the clutch and brake, the rpms drop below the 750 or so idle and then recover (or sometimes stall).

I've seen rpms go to 500, 250 etc. then recover - or simply stall.

I don't think this is normal. Anyone have this problem or know what is causing it??

Same thing

I've had the same thing happen to me.. I haven't stalled yet though.. but I'm afraid it's going to...

I was thinking that it was the idle sensor.... maybe it's not responding fast enough.... hmmm

The only mod I've got right now is a K&N filter... tonight I'm putting on my stillen HF intake..

I've noticed though.. when the A/C is on, it's not as obvious.. (the rpm dip).. this could be due to the fact that running the compressor automatically raises the idle...

hmmm This could also have something to do with the fuel cut off thing.. what do you think? Have you had yours checked / fixed? I haven't....

IDLE

I have and had the same problem ever since i took my resonator out. For some reason the computer doesn't wanna reprogram itself. 3 months ago, dealer said thay can't fix that, since the car is modified, but the problem was fixed i believe when they hooked it up to the computer, it triggered it to adjust itself even though they might have not done anythig. it was good for few months until check engine soon light came on and i disconnected the battery.

Re: IDLE

Happened to me a long time ago.
I was starting a left turn when the
engine stalled and so I almost crashed into
the far sidewalk since the power steering
and brakes went out. I took the car to the
dealer, they hooked it up to the computer,
and adjusted the idle control. Haven't had
a problem since.
I would suggest that you take your car to the dealer,
tell them that you almost crashed because the car
stalled while making a turn... and I'm sure they'll
fix it right away.

good luck
