i have an uncle that has a shop that mods cars and he told me that i can change the computer of the max and make it around 280 hp, is that rrue, is there such thing???

which y pipe should i get
which exhaust
how about the cat converter, would it help??
i live in canada and i need it to be stainless steel and i want everything legal

i also dont know if i should get a flywheel and pulley

i tink ECU takes away the limit of your top speed and makes ur car perform better but i dun tink it gives HP

 

The ECU controlls every aspect of the car you could imagine. Emission, fuel mapping being the one of them. Being able to change these, mainly the fuel mapping can make some of the mods out there now, SC, NOS work a little better. Also if you go real crazy, you can up the timing and start swapping out cams, replace valave springs, and up the rev limitter. Being able to fully manipulate the ECU could help us produce 400WHP car. Doing that kind of work to your car would require an excellent mechanic and alot of fine tuning. But, boy would it be cool. Maybe possibly put this car into a sub 12 second 1/4 runs, which at some tracks would make you do one final mod, Roll Cage.

 

no such upgrades for the Maxima ECU exist as of now. There is the Jet chip, but I don't know if anyone has gotten any great results from that...
