I dont think he was b/sing either because he was surprised about it as much as I was

They are. Especially since the newer ones only came in auto and not 5 speed.

Pmp-n8a - Your friend is lying.. They didn't make a 2000 SHO. 1999 was the last year..

I have taken every SHO I have ran in my 2k1 5spd. I was stock at the time. I ran the first year, 2nd gen as well.

Then Gen2 SHO's used a 3.4L V8 with 235HP (yes, a 3.4L V8). I think it was co-developed by Yamaha again (like the Gen1 3.0L 220HP V6) because Ford can barely get 260HP out of a 4.6L V8

I think they were fast enough to give an automagic a very good run for its money, but I don't think any 5spd driver would have a problem.

I dunno how he could have beaten a 2k2 Maxima unless the thing wasn't broken in yet (very possible)

Actually 370hp out of the S351 NA!

Anyway ya the 2nd Gen SHO Steve has the 3.0 V6 Yamaha, It is the 3rd Gen your thinking of with the 3.4 V8. The SHO lost it's "edge" once the 3rd Gen car came.

Too bad the S351 has to go to Saleen to be done and Ford can't handle it!

But yes, SHO was done in 99 and were only automatics anyway.
