camry's good for somethin

i had a rental camry for two days and when i climbed back into my max today, i thought: man it's loud in here. i know z rated tires will be louder, but there's so much peripheral noise making it inside the cabin too. simple things like the wind, expansion strips, road irregularities....
the camry was stealth next to the max. but not as fun to drive

well i'm sure the camry had some puny rims on there. so that means the tires would have been bigger and less road noise would be transferred.

but i agree the max can be loud at times. i'm thinking of dynamat-ing the roof and maybe the floor so it quiets down a bit.

if you think the max is noisy stock, get an aftermarket exhaust

that's why i'm keeping the exhaust stock, unless i can find a really good deal on a y-pipe, i'll deal with the noise.

y-pipe alone will not add a lot of noise. It will make the exhaust note deeper, but it will sound sweet. If you want a quiet car, then a camry is the way to go

And if you want a sports sedan that brakes away and "slaps" the family sedan catogory, get a Maxima. If you are an old woman or a wuss, get a camry.

In my opinion the only thing a Camry is good for, is to scare the S**T out of you every time they brake, even in small braking the backend reaches for the sky !!!
