it's the AE version taken off an AE, so i have the middle section in the rear too. it looks like everything's there. the double sided tape isn't tacky anymore so i'll replacing that. there are bolt holes here and there and i'd like to use them. anyone know what thread it is, and if there are corresponding holes on the stock body?

Now comes the tough part. There are NO holes on the stock body that correspond to the kit. When you buy the kit as an accesory, it comes with templates, however, these templates are somewhat off, but they give you a good idea as to where the holes need to be drlled. Also some of the screws need to be replaced since I think the ones in the back are too short. To install the kit, you need to align it on the body as best you can and drill holes. Then after a lot of dry fitting and a lot of paitence, you can go ahead and tack it on. Just a little FYI...the front took 5 hours to do correctly for me. The sides took about 3 hours total, but it took an hour and a half just to think of a way to mark the body...by which you can use Q-tips and toothpaste...yes, this is the best way...trust me. (for the sides)First remove the black plastic barb things by sliding them down. They should pop right off. The tape the two halves together. Next, cut off the heads of the Q-tips and masking tape them to the approximate location of where the black plastic barb goes. Be sure to center the Qtips too. Then but a small amount of toothpaste on each of the heads and then align in on the car and push on. Have someone help you with the previous step. It'll make life a lot easier. Then, take the center of the toothpaste mark and punch a spot with an ice pick, but DO NOT remove the toothpaste just yet. You could mistake another nick from a rock as your punch hole. As you go along, then you can remove the toothpaste. Remove the toothpaste from one punch mark, then drill a hole. Once you have all the holes drilled, paint (w/ a brush) some rubberized undercoating into the holes. (the undercoating stuff you can get in a spray paint can that you spray into a paper cup or something then paint on with a small hobby brush) Wait till they somewhat dry, then apply the kit to the body (after putting the black barb things back on the pieces). The back is the toughest, and you basically just have to eyeball it. Use a lot of dry fitting and paitence. This install took 2 weekends to do properly so budget some time for it. Good luck with the install though!!

You can use a colored pencil to rub on the pegs that stick out, but for the places where screws go into the kit, I don't know what you would use, cause the kit has an "angle of adjustment" from where you mark it, to the actual final flush-to-the-bumper location. I think that they should have just made all of the bolt-ons whereby you screw the kit onto the car, so that way when you dry fit the kit for drilling then kit would already be flush to the car. Thus the holes would all align.
