air fuel control

hi
i have asked this question before
but didnt really get replies
i was told by a nissan sales manager to add the air fuel control to make the car faster, cuz he has the afc on his 97 max and mine is a 2001
cuz he said i would have too much air flowing and too little fuel if i have the intake y pipe and the muffler
is it really necessary??? cuz it is pretty damn expensive
thanx

an AFC will not work because the ECU will readjust to match the changes you make with the AFC...
