Does anyone have details for adding the 6 CD changer to a 2k with a factory BOSE system with a single CD player? I have found a 6 CD changer with the install kit for around $300 plus shipping, but was wondering how hard it would be to install it (and where to mount it).
well...
factory location is here (carpet not cut yet)

Installation is not easy, nor is it especially hard. it requires patience, not skill. You just have to take your time. do what instructions say, like putting masking tape around the radio so the sharp edges dont scratch your dash when removing. I enjoyed the install. got to know the max alittle better. I was terrified of breaking something, but it all turned out pretty straight forward. We (on the bbs) can tell you how to get in the dash, and there are some pics floating around to give you some insight on what to expect behind the radio.

CD changer and kit has arrived. Need to find suggestions on removing parts of the dash to get to the radio, what may be in the way, and suggested routing for the wiring going to the CD changer. Also, any pics would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
