driving out to my gf's place eastbound on the 60, at the boonie area, i see a few cars behind me closing fast and weaving thru traffic like crazy. i've got traffic in front of me so i know they'll be slowing down soon. first one to pass me is the honda on the right. then the porsche on my left. only, i'm in the fast lane, so he's on the emergency lane. on my right comes the civic just about dead even with the porsche but it was LOUD. it didn't even seem like the honda or porsche were trying that hard in comparison to the civic. my god. sure enough they can't get thru a block in traffic so i pull up to them ~50.
we've only got 2 lanes with a semi in the slow lane and slow driver in the other. then he finally passes the semi and pulls in front of it. all four of us just punch it. s2000 gets the hole shot with the porsche half on the shoulder again. porsche recovers and pulls on the s2000. after the initial burst, the civic quits and pulls to the side in front of the semi and the other car. i'm ~2 carlengths behind s2k and box and i'm holding my own ok up to ~80 altho i'm fading. they start pulling away ~95 and i chicken out cuz there's no way i'm taking a turn up ahead with a boxster and s2000. lost 'em over a grade.
