Where I mounted my drop resistor switch

Here's where I mounted my switch for my drop resistor mod. I just wanted to show this as a possible location to anyone who may be interested. I pulled a rubber plug out of the firewall to the left of the stearing column to get the wire into the dash area. Very simple to do. I did this for drag racing purposes only and the occasional wot run on the road. Now all I have to do is flick the switch and away I go. I've turned the switch off and on numerous times to test it out, and no check engine lights.

Nice... Very clean! I've considered doing this for when I autocross, but I just flip the AC on instead (at least, until the temp drops below freezing...).

I don't quite understand your reply. This switch disconnects power to the transmission resistor that will then allow full line pressure. Its to have quicker shifts when going full throttle.

You could do the same area of the dash, and just drill a small hole for the switch. The switch I used only requires a 3/8's inch hole.

D'oh! I'm thinking about the radiator fan mod... Hook them up to a switch to allow you to force them to run constantly instead of letting the car decide.

Anyhow, I still like Jime's location better (under the pedal).
