I got an extra cheapo key just because I want to make sure my Nissan Immobilizer is running properly after the remote start install.

The dealer charged me another $10 to cut the regular key. I explained them that besides cutting/programming my ebay chipped key, I wanted a regular key to test my system.

The whole job was less than 45 minutes.

I got a non-chipped key made at Walmart with no problems. And it only cost me $1.
