The car was purchased new in New York I would assume it's Fed spec.

there are usually more "cali spec" cars that end up in the rest of the country.
they are made to meet cali emissions standards. doesnt mean they arent allowed to be sold else were.

Hi I need your help guys!!
I have a 2000 Maxima SE with almost 93,000 miles on it.ok and when i got on the freeway and step on the gas and when i hit 80 mph on the speedometer it didnt want to go any fast then that even if i step on the gas.and i didnt want to try to go faster then that ok i change all 3 Sensors onit about 3 mouth ago. can it be the Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter ???? Help please this would be much appreciated thank you

maybe your speedometer is broken.
