Mach Irish44 Lip installed

I finally got around to installing the Mach 1 lip on my car, the one that Irish44j has, but I did mine just a little bit different, I pulled it foward and mounted it right where the bottom curve of the bumper and have it flush with the mach 1 lip. I used self-tapping screws and washers and basically just mounted it into the bumper of the car.

Thank you JOSH.

here are the pictures:

Not to be crtiticizing, but in the 3rd picture you can clearly see a gap between the bumper and the lip. Maybe another screw could fix that?

Looks good, but I like it the way irish44j installed it. He installed it a little more under the car and less visible.

I would be carefull though that the screws shouldn't pull out in the event you hit a bump, or steep incline like the end of a driveway.

mine has been bent completely backwards on curbs and such. It's tough material and the screws shouldn't pull out. I used big washers to make sure that wouldn't happen. He did the same thing. Looks good though get rid of that gap!

Did you use the same self tapping screws, or did you have a machine screw with a nut on the inside od the bumper cover?

I put it more foward because I wanted an agreesive look, I'm working on my projector headlights with the 00-01 housings right now.

Irish used those black piece of crap plastic clips. LET ME SAY I HATE THOSE THINGS, I have zip ties holding that POS plastic guard up, I broke everyone of those things.

Right now I'm working on 2 secret projects only MOHFPro knows what they are. Kyle don't burst my bubble

Hey...When it comes to attaching things to the front,
what does the 5th generation crowd think about all this Splitter excitment over on the 6th generation side?

as others have said, fix that gap around the corners.

i agree that it looks better when its placed further back so the front edge of the lip is even with the bumper.

I bought like 50 of those fasteners from DaveB for cheap, so if they ever break, I have plenty more. That said, I don't need to take the lip off for any reason, so I don't care if they're hard to get off. they've been holding it just fine for well over a year with alot of abuse...

I did use a few screws with drywall anchors on the backside as well...

gorgeous is in the eyes of the beholder . A suggestion I would make is to remove the bug guard. Just my opinion. High quality pics FTW

Looks good.Could use a bit of attention to detail. I installed one about a year and a half ago - Thanks Irish. Love the look, but it is getting scrapped to $^!# pulling out of some driveways . Have not gotten around to getting pic's posted on my car domain site.

I need a higher quality angled picture like the ones sooner posted in order to give an informed opinion.
