If you are looking to stay your ride height then the S-Techs are not for you. They will give you the lowest drop you can get on springs... period. If you want to stay around the same ride height you are now then go with H&R's or H-Techs. GL man... Check out the link I posted up in this thread. There is a ton of info and pics of drops on which types of springs / strut combo's.

just go with the cheapest route. go on regional forums and ask about strut install. i bet i can install struts 100% better than the stealership can. just because its the dealership that doesnt mean they gonna take good care of your car. seriously id take the time to save some money. if money is not a factor then go ahead and go to the dealers.

Well, the service department at my dealership is very good. My sister used to work there and she knows most of the people there. I have taken my car there a few times before and i have no complaints. I have had much better luck there than i have ever had at independant shops.

So you'd be willing to pay maybe double what an independent shop would charge and even more than double if a fellow member helps you out? Seriously?

I keep telling you, you will not be disappointed if you make the drive and I do the install. I'd say a fellow orger is a little more particular in their work than the dealer.

I am too, but not to the point where I'd pay nearly double the price. It would be hard to find a shop that couldn't properly install struts.

Additionally, if you're willing to spend that much money, get some better struts, like Tokico's. They're cheaper than OEM parts anyway.
Do you install coilovers?

6SPD02SE I am in Los Angeles, 90025. If I could POST a new thread ... I would sell the

Tokiko HP and the Tein-S-techs on the main board but I can't. You can call me at 310) 666-8274 or email me at jeffrey@benico-construction.com

I haven't figured out what the shipping cost will be but I will sell it for cheap. I am trying to sell both for 400$ which I think is pretty good.. 250$ for struts / shock absorbers and coils.

Both sets are still in it's original box.

They won't work on an 05 Altima. Get the right stuff for your car.

$1100 sounds like a lot to me... Shouldn't cost more than 300-400..

Are you saying not to get illuminas because of the OP's need to have a "soft" suspension, or for mechanical/warranty/longevity issues?

Just curious.
