Aftermarket shocks/struts and stock springs question...

Hey,

I just put my stock springs back on to the KYB GR2s I have. My question is will I need new bumps stops because mine are cut more than 50%. As you can see I had maxspeed springs w/the GR2 and the ride sucked! The car bounced on every road for some unknown reason. Plus, I had no bump absortion what so ever. It's a little better now, but the car still looses control on washboard terrain. I don't know what the **** happend to my car after I lowered it. Could I have recieved defective shocks/struts?

Thanks.

sounds like your struts are blown, they should be under warranty try sending them in.

I love your Max man!!

The first day I put them on, they were bouncy. The bounce I'm talking about is a "tight bounce" not an "out of control bounce". Anyway, I called tirerack and they said that the shocks/struts should be fine, but because they're not new anymore she will have to call me back with an answere on what they're going to do for me. You think I blew them with the Maxspeeds? She asked if they were lowered and I said no

Peace.

Another example of why GR2s aren't great. They are almost the same quality as stock (don't flame, my mech told me such), they aren't made for real lowering. I would suggest ditching those zeros and gettin with the heros, AGX.

Actually, the GR2's are pretty good. I think it's the springs that messed them up. 1.7" drop is too much for them. They should be fine with H&Rs and such. AGXs are too firm for me.

Peace.
