2000 auto axle removal

2000 Max, auto tranny
I am trying to remove the pass side axle as one piece ... Is this possible??
There seems to be not enough clearance for the bearing bracket to pass out the side ...? It is hitting the front of the wishbone and power steering pump, and engine at the oil filter ...
Does the exhaust have to be lowered? To spin the bearing support down?
I thought the axle would slide right out the side ????
anybody done it?

It's possible, but I don't recall exactly what I maneuvered around when I did it.

for the passenger side, the secondary joint in the axle has 3 bolts that do absolutely need to be taken out so the entire axle can be removed in one piece.

Well, after searching and reading for hours of many posts ...
I found the secret
The passenger side axle can be removed as 'one piece' including the bearing bracket!
Using a jack to slightly lift the motor, the bracket will slide out ...

Thanks to all ...
