Cattman Gen 1 or Gen 3?

Alright I have the oppurtunity to buy a set of used Cattman Gen 1 Headers for cheaper then the new Gen 3's....now supposedly the Gen 1's are supposed to be the best but I have heard some good stuff on the Gen 3's, so I was also thinking about buying a set of brand new Gen 3's for a little more so what do you guys think I should do?

I don't think there is a huge difference between the 3. So if you can get one cheaper, go ahead. Just make sure to coat them to prevent rust

yea the gen 1 headers require alot of upkeep, I can't remember what you have to do, but you might want to search and look it up

Hi Temp paint will burn off in a few days. You need something like Jet-Hot coating inside and out of the header.

This will explain it: http://www.jet-hot.com/techinfo.html

I have the gen 1's and live where they use salt on roads and have no problems. You have to clean them once and a while to keep the finish looking good. I do it after every winter. This is the spray that you would have gotten if you bought them new through Cattman. It's the HiPerWash.
