i use an air hammer to get them to break loose, just be very carefull; and if you don't have an air hammer, use a thin chisel and hammer it out, again, carefull not to slip and damage the rim.

You can use a socket a little smaller then lock nut. Hammer it on and take it off that way. If you go to any tire shop they are going to do the same thing. I just had to break off one myself not to long ago. This is by far your best option to getting this off safely without taking the chance of jacking up your rim. GL

Go to SEARS they actually have a really nice Craftsman wheel lock lug nut removal tool. I'm a master mech and have that set along with a 15/16" locking wheel lug nut removal socket. The craftsman set comes in a red pouch w/ 3 sockets. They're just sockets you hammer on and use a big ratchet to twist off. If you can't find it. Just hammer on a 12 point socket on that fits tight. Works everytime, but if you're like me you need someone else a little more durable.

I agree with hammering on a socket that just barely fits over the lock, and using an impact gun or breaker bar.

I used to work at a shop and I used to do this all the time. We had a lock removal kit, but it was only second to using an old socket.

I had to take 4 of them off of my Maxima; I welded a regular lugnut to 3 of them and used the "hammer on a smaller socket" technique on the 4th. All worked fine.

Exactly!

Same thing happened to me a while ago and I just hammered on a socket and took it off with a breaker bar. I forgot what size I used but it's still in the garage with the lug nut permanently stuffed inside it. I can look tomorrow and tel you what size it is.

if its a wheel lock like mines use a drill bit and a pipe wrench had to do it on mines cuz the lug nut was stuck!....trust me it works!

use the biggest bit you can find and cut off the end for more support

the stick in the wheel lock then turn it counter clock wise and it will come off

That's an easy out, not a drill bit. Nice pics.

Glad to hear it. My bad before the other socket if you ever run into this again is a 13/16" locking wheel lock removal socket. It's just a hammer on twist off socket for rounded lug nuts. That Sears kit doesn't come with that size.
