Is 85 watt bulb ok for headlights

I blew a light yesterday and Iwas wondering if 85 wayy is to or ok

too high , go back to stock before you melt your sockets......

I was told dont go above 55w...I used to own a 200 sx and ended up melting my headlight assembly...I think 60 might be 55/60w which is o.k. .....

how long...?

how long does it take to melt sockets? cuz i think im running too many watts but ive had em for a while now and no problems, yet...so approx how much time would it take for the sockets to melt if they are going to melt?

Man I had 100W draw H4s in my 2k Max Se for one year and it never burned the socket, wires, or fuse.

Remember I said 100watt DRAW not "looks" like 100watt output but actual draw.

You will be fine with 85watt

put 2k2 HID and you'll be fine...hehe

After several months mabye longer. Give it time and it will eat away at the socket. There is a reason you use stock wattage, the sysstem was made for it......
