*Confused!!* Coils or O2 Sensor & Air Flow Meter. NEED HELP!
Before i start, i want to say I already searched.
ok about two months ago my TSC off, ABS, SLIP and SES light came on. so I searched the forum to see the possible problem and solutions, it SEEMED as if the answer was bad coils, and i was pretty sure that that was the problem also, but i really didn't know with 100% certainty (as it seems nobody really knows). So today I took it to the dealership to get my problem diagnosted so that i know for sure. They tell me that my car has "multiple failures" and the only thing they can tell for sure is that i need to replace the Air Flow Meter Assembly (is that the same as the MAF?), and that i need both front O2 sensors with my ECU reprogrammed. they also said thats just the start!! said i have possible ABS failure, and its possible that the Pre-cat converter could be damaged. and they want to charge me $1700 (!!! WTF!!!) to change the O2 sensors and Air Flow Meter Assembly!!!!
To me they didn't seem sure their damn selves what the real problem was just a bunch of maybe's and what-ifs. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME! I DON'T HAVE $1700!! ESPECIALLY NOT ON A "MAYBE"! Are these guys telling me the truth? if so, can i do the o2 and Air flow assembley myself??
MAXIMA GODS, HELP ME, PLEASE!

the only code that was found was P0140, did the search, it indeed is an O2 Sensor code.
Is the Air Flow Meter Assembly = MAF, if so, does anybody have the write up on how to replace?

First find out which o2 sensor is it like bank one sensor two or bank one sensor one or bank two sensor one or bank one sensor two, you also might have a bad abs sensor you just need to find out which one, you can take the car to the dealership and ask them to print out the diagnostic shiet. Also be with the car the hole time so that they dont bullsh!t you, one of the consult tools nissans use should have a little printer it looks like a receipt. Then when you get that readout post it here, then we'll tell you to contact dave b to get the parts you need. If you have ever changed the brakes on your car you can change an abs sensor, i just did it a couple weeks ago.
I have a copy of the printout sheet (the one that looks like a long reciept). its in my car, but i'm at work right now so i'll post it up when i get home this evening. from memory, i think it is Bank 1.
i hope this can be done/fixed without spending tons of money. I can, i'm not afraid, and pretty able, of doing much of the work myself, if i have instructions on how to do so. I change my own brakes, oil, etc, etc. all the time. So i'll change the O2 sensor, the ABS sensor and MAF if need be.

If im reading it right you need a bank 1 sensor 2 o2 sensor, you also need to replace your rear left abs sensor thats the wheel were your gas cap is. If its the right o2 sensor then its a secondary oxygen sensor thats not necessary and you can buy a cheap o2 simulator for like 30 bucks and just fix that that way. The abs sensor needs to be replaced so contact Dave B about that since you should put in a oem one for that its gonna run you about 120 for the sensor, i got one locally from a nissan buddy for like 115.
Edit. Hey just a quick idea before you buy a abs sensor check its connection under the car maybe the wires are just loose and you can splice the wires together like i did. I replaced the sensor though but when i was removing my original one the plug that goes to the car came off the wires maybe thats what your problem can be

Hey SuperStasiu thanks for the info. Are the 02 sensors in Bank 1 the 3-wire sensor or the 4-wire sensor?
where can i buy a o2 sensor that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg and that i don't have to splice wires? Do i need to get my ECU reprogrammed after doing this??
Where exactly is the ABS sensor at by the rear tire?

The bank one sensor two is the second sensor from your rear manifold, the abs sensor is really easy to find just lift up the rear drivers side and right by the rear lifting point you will find a plug and you can follow the wire back to the rear hub/ brake assembly. To replace it you need to remove your rotor since the sensor is stuck in there pretty good, and you can just knock it out. If you want to buy the o2 sensor and abs sensor contact Dave B on here he gets really good deals for everyone. Heres his info http://forums.maxima.org/member.php?u=178 just send him a pm for the parts you need. The parts should run you around 250 or maybe a little more
