01 AE Qestion?? & Help !!!

my friend has an 01 AE with about 73K and he say's it feel like the wheels are shaking a bit? Everything is tight lugnuts etc. The guy at shop say's he may need a spacer I said why would u need a spacer now makes no sense because it would have been like that when you 1st got it? Also say's the ride is getting a little ruff (I told him time to change the shocks) .. None the less I wanted to ask the experts ...

Thanks in advance

Does it shake in his ***, or does the steering wheel shake.

Did you guys check tire pressure, wheel weights, the easy stuff?

The are aftermarket rims and its in the wheel not the steering and its the front? But my thing is that he would have had this happen from day one when he put the rims on? I believe they have been on for a yr or so.. Also he just said he has problems with the starting and some hesitation said when on the of will start fine say over nite (cold) slight hesitation in morning.. It already has a new Batt and the alt is good so I would say its the sparks or still maybe the batt b/c I had the same issue on my 98. thanks in advance

um...that could describe pretty much anything in the suspension....unbalanced wheel/tires, blown struts, bad bearings, bad bushings, out of alignment, etc etc....

be more specific or this thread ends.....

sounds like maybe a wheel bearing. try jacking the car on that side and see if the wheel has any play. try wiggiling it and if it is then i think it might be the bearings so i have heard.also wahts the sixe of the rims? as for the starting problem i would do a tune up like you said sparks filter etc. autozone can check alternator and batt
