speaking of turning radius...why the heck is the 5.5gen so fat? lol i mean i can't even make a uturn on my street...even my dad's ford explorer can make that turn haha

according to edmunds.com our maxima's are like 40'ish feet while the new altima is 37.4ft...only a few feet smaller and i'm sure i can make a uturn on my street =/

it's a bit wide, I have to say, so you have to turn faster.

And you might want to check on the insurance first....
i already know that they're completely different cars. if i wanted to drive something similar to the alti/max, then i'd buy another alti/max. and i've driven a few wrx's, they're not that bad. and if i wanted refinement, i'd buy a honda. i bought my 03 max new in 02, and for what it was, it was a great car, but my needs as a driver and commuter have changed since then and the max doesn't suit them anymore. the subarus are only a couple of cars i'm looking at in my search for a new car.

and as far as insurance goes, unless you're driving an expensive high-end car, have a bad driving record, live in a bad neighborhood, a combination of the three, or all three, insurance rates for the subarus aren't bad at all (maybe excluding the sti, lol).

I test drove the '08 altima & '08 maxi and was very unimpressive. CVT is junk. This is the last year for the 6th gen maxima, maybe the new maxima's will be better. Anways, i will be looking for a new car also, maybe end of the year. Thinking '05/'06 g35 coupe or '09 g37 or '09 maxi if it competes against infiniti.

Awesome car. Love the SE model. The trans is a bit hard to get used to in my opinion. One of the fastest stock cars around. other than the obvious..........
