Hi, I'm new to Maxima.org
I used to drive a Mitsu 3000GT, just got the 2k2 MAXIMA about a week ago. I am just wondering if there is any bodykit out there for the 2k2 model. I tried both Stillen & Sarogna, but I didn't see any pictures for it. Another questions is what is the time for 0-60mph on the new MAX? The sales told me its 5.9 seconds even with auto, is that true??? Cuz it sounds too good to be true. THANKS GUYS

Sales people know nothing basically. The I35, which only comes in auto, has been tested at 7 seconds 0-60. The 2K2 Max auto should be the same. Even the 6 speed 2K2 Max won't be able to break below 6 seconds. I think MotorTrend has estimated 6.4 seconds for the 6-speed but there has been no official test.

damn, that's a 1.1 second difference. My friend just bought a 2002 RSX type S manual, he wants to race with me, am I gonna get my *** kick or win??? By the way, I smoked a stock 97' toyota Supra the other day...hahaha

 

The I35 did 0-60 in 7.01, the max weighs about 100lb's less so I would think 6.8-6.9 would be the max's time. Also the 6spd max should be a 5.9-6.2, not 6.4, MT is full sheit!

 

maybe if you torqued brake and shifted manually you could keep up with him but you never know till you do it...race him and tell us

 

I did, I raced him the other night. I shifted manually and whooped his *** pretty bad. I know i'm not suppose to be racing before break in, but he was being a lil BitXx azz, so I had to do it. haha
