ES Engine mounts

So today I finally got my ES engine mounts installed. I notice lot more engine vibration at idle.. Is this normal? I figured it would get little more rough but not this much.

Yes...

Less wheel hop comes at a price.

do you do alot of track? what made you get ES bushings? I read here that those are not for the daily driver unless you go to the track, otherwise it would just be annoying due to the engine vibration/noise.

they are stiffer so they will not dampen the engine as much...thats kinda the point

Recently installed them as well. I love them, definitely everyday driving material IMO.
A little more vibrations and maybe a little more noise at times but definitely worth it, my passenger wheel doesn't want to rip the side of my car off anymore and I dont have to worry about replacing them again.

It is normal. They may break in a little, or maybe I've just gotten used to them. Never really bothered me and it's been two years now.

Well, that depends on personal preference, there are many of us with the ES inserts who are fine with it for daily driving, even in stop and go traffic.

I had ES mounts on my 4.3 S10 and I absolutely loved them, I will be going with the ES mounts on the maxima soon. The slightly increased vibes are a fair compromise in my opinion for the resulting stiffness and improved hop control.

i have them installed with an aftermarket clutch / flywheel and upon taking off it feels like the front end is loose but when driving i love them. i dont have wheel hop anymore either just a bunch of wheel spin.

chicks dig the vibrations lol

i installed ES mounts and Exedy stage 1 at the same time and i love them both. there is more vibration at idle but i knew that and its definatly doable for a DD. Noooo wheel hop, just grabs. With these and the clutch ill rip my friends foxbody 5.0 out of the hole all day. +1 for ES mounts.......

I really can't tell anymore, even if I was to drive a stock maxima, I would probably blame any differences on all the modifications my car has.

Though I still wheel hop :-/, the day I got them on though, that was very nice... I remember accidentally doing a burnout in traffic :-/ really was an accident (sorta got a bit excited to test out the stiffness and well just sat there and spun instead of bouncing)
