Last night I got into the trunk to look at how I was going to remove the rear struts. There is a shield over the strut bolts with a small hand hole. I don't see how I am going to be able to get any tools in there to remove the nuts. I looks like I can remove the shield, but that look like a lot of work.

It's not, you just need a 3/8" drive with a 14mm deep socket and an 6" extension and remove the two mount nuts.

Just finished up installing the new rear struts. It was much easier than I thought it would be. It took me a little over 2 hours. The rear suspension is much better. But there is still a rattling sound under the car that I think is the mufller and exhaust pipe from the muffle to the cat rattling around. Beside the two rubber hangers on the muffler, are there any hangers or braces on the exhuast pipe. I am wondering if maybe my rough rear suspension may have knocked something else loose. It is not a huge deal as I am going to be trading this car in with in the month. But I would like to fix it.
