Car decision

Ok guys, I have had a 1992 Maxima GXE as my first car and now my kind of "beater" car. I had gotten a 1995 Camaro Z28 and had problems with it, fixed it, and sold it. I ended up getting a 1999 Z28 auto and have loved it, but still enjoy the ride of my Maxima a lot more. Would a 5th gen be a good happy medium for me? Would I be able to trade straight up for one? If I were to do this I would prefer a 2002-2003 6 speed.

What do you guys think?

too may variables involved to be able to tell if you can trade straight up. Depending on your tastes, you can either like or difslike a FWD 6 speed. Check classifieds to get an idea of how much these cars are going for now adays.

I've looked at the prices and that's why I started considering it. If I were to sell my Camaro I would ask $8500 for it.

I like FWD and would like being able to drive in the winter if I needed to. Plus I really enjoy manual cars, this LS1 auto just kinda fell into my lap.

Well if you are used to drive the camaro well you will probably miss the torque of it. Maximas are great cars but it depends on what really are u looking for

I just want something relatively quick that is comfortable and fun to drive. Plus a nice interior and comfort is nice.

1st gen G35 sedan 6 speed. Or you could go like I did 2nd Gen G35S 306 horses......Bang for you're buck. But still got my Max can't let that one go.

I'm looking in the range of what my car is worth or below, so no G35. I think I would be able to get $8,500 out of my Z28.

I just got my max a month ago, 02 se 6sp, i love it, but after going from rear wheel drive lexus to torque steery front wheel drive, if u like the luxury of rwd (being pushed), i suggest u find something that is...otherwise fwd it is

I just bought my 03 max for $8k and its a 6speed. So there are 5.5 gen out there for around that price. I think you'll really enjoy the FWD and the smoothness of a Maxima compared to a rear wheel drive Z28.
