Ground kit question

I can't remember who the instructions came from that come with the ground kit, but when it says to remove the stock air filter holder, I assume we are talking about the whole box, not just the pull-out frame and filter. It looks like it all needs to come out, but I don't want to take out more than I have to...

You are going to have to provide more information when asking for answers. What year is your car? Which ground point are you trying to reach? Who made the kit?....etc.

Sorry, it;s an '02 GLE, working on the starter-to-body connection. The kit was provided by shinjudo. He did provide pretty good instructions from another member, I don't remember and I don't have them with me.

For that wire, you'll prob have to remove the entire airbox as the ground pt I'm guessing is also where the factory negative cable is grounded to the chassis. Remove the airbox, and you'll see what I am talking about.

You can also hit up Stillen, they have the instructions on their website in a pdf. I will be doing this mod in a few days with the Shinjudo kit as well.

Great, thanks for the info. I've done afew things to GM LS1 and LT1 engines (nothing major mind you), so I'm alittle confused by the look of this V6...

taking of the air box takes less than 5 minutes. take it out, it'll give you alot of room to work with.
