Hid conversion help
Hiya folks. I figured I'd also ask for help in the 5th gen section since this is 5th gen specific and I'm hoping someone here can help. I order a H4 Xenon kit (with holagen high beams) from Operatic and am having a bit of trouble with the install.
I understand now that both #1 and #2 in the pic goes to each ballast right?
#3 is supposed to go to the stock harness?

And what am I supposed to do with these wires, A&B?

Also, do I have to connect these somewhere, or are they just extra connections?

Thank you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are correct #3 plugs into the stock harness and #1 and #2 plug into the hid ballast. The extra wires might be them to use to wire something else in as well.
as for the other connectors I wouldn't worry about them, (from the first pic) tap the red wire connector to the positive battery feed and the black to the negative. connector #3 to stock harness and #1 and #2 into ballasts. finally connect the ballasts to the bulbs. operatic uses his own harness with his own relays (which is a nice setup might i add) so the bulbs have extra connectors cause they can also work with out his harness.

I have a question! Where's the instructions? Also is this H4 setup single beam(low beam bulb only) or dual beam Hid (hi and lo beam HID bulb)? So from what I see you have a single beam setup and those two wires (A & B) are for your hi beam bulb so your HID bulb may have a halogen bulb attached to the base...does it? If not use low beam only or order 2 single beam,hi/lo kit bulbs these will have a HID bulb and halogen bulb on one common H4 base... ok!

#1 & 2 go to the ballast for power. #3 goes into any stock harness where the halogen bulb usually goes. (most likely driver's side since it's closest to the battery).

#1 in the pic above goes into the passenger side stock harness. This way the halogen high beams get power. (the ballast only power the Xenon portion of the bulb.)
This now brings up a problem for getting a high beam on the drivers side seeing as how the stock harness is occupied by connection to the ballast.
This is where A & B in the pic below comes into play.

(no pics) I had to splice those into wires going specifically to the halogen high beam so that the drivers side has high beam usage.
I got everything working, however one ballast is not working.

I switched sides to make sure it wasn't the bulb or wiring, and sure enough it was the ballast. I'll be sending it back for a replacement. Thanks alot btw for the help Dave.

This is a single HID with built in halogen high beams. I did eventually figure it out.

What kind of halogen bulb is being used for the hi beam? H11, H3, H1, etc? Is it part of the H4 base assembly, with the HID! Did you get new headlight housings or are you using the originals? check your connections and your grounds first. Good luck, I'm running Xrtalights 8000K Hid upgraded headlight bulbs and an 8000K H3 foglight conv kit on my 03 Maxima! I love HID so much I installed 6000K on my 86.5 Nissan Hardbody. I got that cheap kit from Hid link! Hope everything works out fine!
I see what happened...the white wire needs to connect to the high beam wire on the stock H4 harness that should've been connected. Yea sorry I didn't see that before, you really really might want to point that out to operatic.
