I miss my maxima

I am stuck driving a Ford Taurus SE as a rental for I don't know how long until I get my car back form the body shop. The thing has no pull anywhere. you have to floor the thing just to get it past 65 mph.... I guess it's not so bad though. When I get my car back, it will probably feel like a rocket copmared to this

Anyways, I met up with BigDogJonx today since he was installing his UDP. I showed up kind of late, so he had most of it done already. After it was done we took it for a spin... we saw a new Altima 3.5 SE on the highway... but we had to turn off at our exit...

Talking bout UDP, i had my belts RE-tightened. And the squeling noise went away.. Everything was all good until a minute ago..
Its weird the car wasn't cold. It wasnt a cold start. But it squeled like a girl... but anyway my question is , how likely or is it possible for the belts to loosen so quickly after 2 and a helf weeks already?

Roger
i hate it when my car sounds like a hooptie.

strange.... I guess they could have gotten a little loose again When you tightened them, how much deflection was there on the belts? I think tyhe spec is like 3 or 4mm on the small belt and 6 or 7 mm of deflection on the large belt. Also, make sure you got to tightening all three tensioners and the idler pulley....

HAHA, they didn't give you the one with 200 hp
Only 22hp separates my car between my dads, but the low range torque on the vq is soooo gooooood compared to my car.

Good luck on getting your max back soon.

HEY NOW ... don't pick on those "tortises" too much. I have one sitting in my garage right now.

I just got it as a company car and I love it (sarcasim intended!). I hate driving the damn thing and it feels like I am driving a boat. No real power or handling, but hey its free. Can't complain since I don't have to put anymore miles on my max.

and ... don't know.

The company I work for had it shipped up from Mississippi but they neglected to get the car regestered in either state. There are no temp tags, real tags, insurance ... nothing. Now it is just sitting in my garage taking up space! I did notice that there is no redline on the tach though ... gotta see how high it will go before meltdown!

Come on now Nauman, you know you love driving rental cars and tearing it up.

As far as that Altima, I would have Ran against it but BW parkway is notorious with cops all over it. BTW, I drove the car 150miles last night and I love the UDP, feel much more response and pull. Now I am thinking about designing that custom CAI we talked about, I think I can do it for $50, it seems like a 2hr job.

I know about BW parkway.... lots of cops. People race there all the time and get caught. As for the custon CAI, go for it
