2001 AE 5 SP Maxima endless problems....help?

I love my 20th AE 5 SP Maxima but it's got nothing but endless problems! Since the day I bought the car maybe 2 years ago or so, I had an SES light on. It was some bogus Evap gas tank code.... and its finally gone.

I can't even remember all the repairs anyways I've gotten my transmission rebuilt a few months ago, a support bracket snapped or something it cost me $1800 to fix. Axle problem, caliper problem, cylinder 2 misfire, etc. Some jackass also keyed the back and whole side or my car.

So the other day I was trying to save some money and decided to change my belts myself... and the belt tensioner adjustment bolt/nut (whatever that piece is called.. it SNAPPED). I installed a temporary fix which is another bolt to hold it in place. I went to a few car shops and nobody carries that part!

My question is what's that parts actual name?! The only thing on the net I found was

G6001-274247
Acc. Belt Tensioner Assy

The adjustment bracket is attached to the idler pulley itself right? Should I buy the piece from a junkyard or should I go to the dealership?

Prior to the whole bet tensioner bolt snapping, I've been having Idling problems, once I put in in neutral (whilst shifting or slowing down) it would stall but not all the time. RPMs drop from 1000+ down to 0 and would slowly climb to 2-400 RPM! So I did my research.. I cleaned the MAF sensor with electrical contact cleaner and the RPMS are low but not at 0. It stalled maybe once since. What's weird is if i leave the A/C is on the RPMs would run perfectly smooth no stalling, no problems. Can someone clarify this?

I brought the car in the other day and I have a p0171 code. It's running too lean in bank 1. I recently put in some (higher) octane 94 could that be the reason?

I cleaned the throttle body and the RPMs are quite stable now around 625 (without the a/c on), but the SES light is still on.

Any help would be great, thanks!

That is typically a MAF code.

How many miles are on the car?
EVAP code could be as simple as needing a new gas cap...which is where I would
start.

I got the car with 117000km, its at 160 right now. I replaced the cap but theres a rust issue at the tank, so that could explain a bad contact between the tank and the cap. I tried sanding it down and no difference.

But that problem seems to have gone away... so I'm not too worried about it.

I'm worried about the P0171 and my temporary bolt fix on the idler pulley, because I can't find the part in any shop. I guess it's off to Nissan tomorrow.

that bolt sucks, but if you losen the nut on the pully and adjust the tensioner it wont break ^^
I been getting the P0171 & P0174 lately, iam pulling my hair out trying to source the cause.

I have an 03 6 speed and get the same codes. My SES light was on a few months ago and went off, it came back on three weeks ago when I stepped on it and just went off last Tues. I examined my gas cap but it looks fine.

I'm having my mechaninc look at it this Thu since I'm moving to AL soon. I don't want to drive 800+ miles knowing I have something wrong. I truly believe that its either a leak somewhere or maybe a bad evap/charcoal canister, like I experienced on my 97. I'll keep you guys posted as to the true problem.
