umintza projector headlights w/ angel eyes

hello all, i was considering the projector headlights w/ the angel eyes from umnitza, link: (also see pic below) http://www.umnitza.com/product_info....3{3}56{36}385&

i could not find any reviews on this product, i.e.: quality of fit?, light output for night driving the same as OEM or better?, ease of installation?, etc..

opinions-good/bad? - i know its pricey, but i don't mind if its of good quality and relatively easy to install. thx in advance for your time.

Looks like the eBay headlights, which means complete crap.

Yes, they look identical to the EBay lights, which you can pick up for $180. And they definately need to be retro'ed, as the light output sucks.

There is a Ebay projector with HID upgrade, for about $250, not sure about the quality.

Either way, these seem overpriced...

I know a guy around CT and he has the HID projector from ebay on his maxima....Last time i asked him about them he said he should have kept his STOCK lights..they produce better lighting for night driving

You can buy a product that looks exactly the same off ebay just search (Maxima Projector) and they are around the $180 range and I would definately recommend that if you buy them you get them from ebay as opposed to umnitza. As far as the ebay projectors go it is crucial to aim them properly..I think this is one of the main reasons that people who have them complain about them, instead of whining just spend the time and care to aim them properly..granted the projector lenses do have a distinct beam pattern (not as good as a more expensive lense) but for $180 for 2 headlights what do you expect.

The fitment with the OEM bumper is perfect..no gaps at all..if you have an aftermarket bumper you will almost certainly experience gap issues (as I have).

Installation consists of 2 screws and 2 harnesses and the lights are plug and play, except for the angel eye function (powered by 4 LEDs)..to get the angel eyes to work you must splice the power lines from the LEDs into the power line for your parking lights. To do both headlights this takes about 15 mins if you know what you are doing.

People always complain about glare with these projectors..once again Im sure this is because they are aimed too high on the road..I have a 55w 6k HID kit which is proven to be more powerful than the normal 35w kits and yet I have absolutely no glare at all coming from my headlights at normal operating height

If you have more questions about the lights PM me..I hope I have answered some of your questions

You cannot buy these on eBay for anything less than $225-250.
We are offering a similar light but if you choose the Xenon pre-installed option, we modify the projectors to offer a good quality light output with good cut off.

If you want the brightest angel eyes, we do that as well. I believe we offer better value overall for our products even though they may look the same.

What exactly do you do to the projectors when you say modify?

I'm sorry to say, I cannot give out that information, it's something we do to make the pattern and output correct.

Please substantiate your claims. Otherwise, there is no point in making them and nobody will pay more money to for a product that is not proven to be any better than the competition.

Unless you swap out the projector lense itself I dont see how this is possible. Are you manufacturing these headlights in-house? Because if not I just cant see you baking the lights, opening them up, and swapping out the projector lenses and STILL selling them for < $400-500.

Please provide supporting information regarding your product. It is called good customer service.

Ok, I agree, so I'll give you more information:
1) The angel eyes are better because they are CCFL based, the current ones are not, they are not bright.

2) If you just buy the headlights, our price is almost exactly the same as the Ebay ones if you don't modify anything, therefore, if you just want the light, there is no difference in the light out of the box but you do get the added benefit of dealing with a known entity not just some eBay shop.

3) HID pictures should be all you would need to show you how different they are, so we'll get them on a car and actually take photos soon (maybe within a week if anyone wants to donate their car for science and a free install).

If the to-be pics looks like below then it'll be the same as regular eBay aka Eagle Eyes brand headlights with their flimsy plastic projectors, horrible horizontal dispersion.

Pic borrowed from McSteve

The projectors in those headlights are pure crap, the projectors have horrible light distribution and give a beam pattern littered with hot and cold spots, the angular reflector bowl is the problem and there is no modification that is going to get around that.

Short of replacing the projectors that come in those housings (ie retrofit) there is nothing that can be done to improve the perfommance of those headlights.

i don't know how else you can get good output with the ebay/umintza projector headlights unless you change the whole projector unit. i'm interested in seeing what kind of top secret method umintza uses to enhance the performance of those ebay headlights. might be a gimmick but who knows...waiting for the pics =)

Sorry guys, my customers conspired against our being able to get you photos - we had 12 drop ins that wanted their parts installed - one of them took 3 hours, but came out really nicely.

So the Maxima headlight package had to be moved to Monday afternoon. Sorry about that.
