Like, but no love.

Had this 2001 AE for 6 years now. It was a nice looking alternative to the Camry and Accord. A good looking family sedan.

3.0L, 4spd auto, fwd, beam axle rear, large diameter steering wheel, 4-door family sedan FTW!

lol you got that from the cadillac commercial .

BTW, unless you running boost or this your first car, you should not be in love with an 8 year old family sedan. 350z, g35, something with rwd or close to 300 horses....thats a different story. I do like the reliability of my max though.

I would definently check the TSX before making those assumption that are not that great of cars to began with.. Nice looking and set-up but comparison to a MAX.. does not work well.

Wouldn't take on over my '02 though. The TSX is a dog compared to my Maxima. I'll take the trade-off in gas mileage for the extra 55 hp and 80 lb-ft of torque...listed curb weight is 100 pounds more than the Maxima too.

I can't say I *love* my Maxima but it is the best car I've had since my '74 Z/28.

true; however, a lot of people on here abuse their cars and dont maintain them properly and then come on here and blame nissan and the dealership.

Agreed, sometimes they break after you maintain. I know people that clean throttle body and end up with more problems than they started with. Thats why I'm scared to do anything near my MAF nowadays.

Only if it is a V6...and an '03 with a 6 speed still has a small advantage in the quartermile.

No way would I want a 4 cylinder Camry over my Maxima. I also think the front end is fugly, regardless of the engine.

The other car I considered besides my Maxima was the V6 Accord. Slightly less performance but they definitely get better mileage. I ended up going with the Maxima because of the extra power, larger interior and HIDs-not to mention they run $3000 less than similarly equipped Accords.

Make the car a new TL-S and I'd have to go with the Acura.

That would be SO STUPID!!!

I love my car!!! I'll never trade it in, its payed off :-). Back in the day I would of traded it in for a 350z or G35 coupe or sedan.
