Love my new MAX

Hello all,

I just joined the Max family. I've been looking to get an 04 since their specs were released. I had an 88 Century for the last 7 years, it finally needed enough work to pass inspection for me to look at what i really wanted. I was going to have a dealer get me one at auction but then i opened the paper.

A nearby Nissan dealer had $2200 off and 1.9%. So I went over and....
right off the truck, 2 days new with the plastic still on was my new love. Exactly how I wanted:
Black on black leather
Driver's preferred
Sunroof
splash guards
and all mats

It was meant to be. I got them down to $200 over invoice and drove it home Thursday. It had 16 miles and now almost 400. Trying to break it in "gently", kept myself from going over 90.

Just ordered a bunch of car care products and a chrome Maxima frame. I'm going to add a black DARE PA licence plate then.

Welcome!

You will love your new car....the hardest part is the break in period....staying under 4000 rpms. I have just over 800 now...got it with 7.....will 1200 ever get here?

Congrats on the new family member I picked up my Max on April 13th with 13 miles and I'm already at the 2k miles mark. The one thing that I'm having to retrain my driving to is the overall power. It really is a beautiful highway vehicle. I find myself getting annoyed with the vehicle law abiding citizens at times

Without a doubt! It's real tough being behind the LAC (law abiding citizens).
The extra HP and weight just seem to give you the feel of being in a much larger vehicle. I think I remember someone referring to the '04 MAX as a Japanese Buick, or something. I was offended, of course. I love my MAX!

Congrats on your new Max!

Believe it or not, I've been really paranoid about taking my baby out from the garage. I'm trying to get over this compulsive fear I have about other people door-dinging my car when I'm not there. I know it sounds crazy -- but it's just so gorgeous, I'm almost scared to drive it.

know what u mean. I find myself parking in empty parts of lots further from the door. Triple bonus: less chance of dings, get a lil' more exercise, and save an lil' gas. I can't keep mine in the garage, others have priority over me.
